We’ve had a makeover!

17/11/2022

You may have noticed Spitalfields has been undergoing some pretty hefty maintenance work over the last year. From the dulcet tones of the cement drillers to the beautifully aesthetic scaffolding, we thank you for bearing with us whilst we finish our facelift, leaving you with plenty more to explore.

The trader’s market will remain the same buzzy, vibrant shopping spot that we know and love, the monthly arts market isn’t going anywhere, and the street food trucks will continue to serve up daily delights from across the globe. So, what’s new? As of this month, there are four brand new stores to check out on the newly redeveloped market street. Keep reading to discover more before you step in-store.

The Hook

The destination to discover and fall in love with original art and limited-edition prints has moved! But don’t worry, The Hook haven’t gone far – just a couple of doors away into their permanent home at 10 Market Street. Didn’t manage to catch their opening weekend launch event? Email spitalfields@thehookart.com to get 10% off your first piece of art when you book an art consultation, ‘tis the season of giving back, after all.

Loot Vintage

From NYC to Paris to right here to Spitalfields Market! Europe’s leading vintage retailer just landed in East London. LOOT strongly believe strength lies within the individual. We are all so unique, so why not celebrate that in the clothes that make us look and feel incredible? Think reworked styles, mixing tradition and cultures, one-off designs and timeless classics, all in one place. With handpicked stock from across the globe and new items arriving every week, shopping in their brand new Spitalfields store never gets old. (Pun intended!)

Coach

2022 is all about sustainability, especially when it comes to fashion. With vintage and pre-loved designer goods high on our wish lists, we’re thrilled to be home to Coach’s first ever pop-up store. The Tomorrow’s Vintage pop-up celebrates the Coach (Re)Loved programme, a circular ecosystem for refurbishing, reimagining and recycling pre-loved products. Expect monogramming and customisation services at the ‘Coach Craftsmanship Bar’, one of a kind artist creation and customisation workshops and DJ sets. You can even trade in your old Coach bag for store credit!
