Tier-2 Friendly Outdoor Drinking and Dining in Spitalfields

As of midnight on Wednesday 2nd December, the City of London re-entered tier 2 of lockdown. The new measures essentially mean that households – or social bubbles – will no longer be able to mix indoors, and those meeting outdoors will be restricted to the ‘rule of six‘.
To ensure we can still support the hospitality trade and in particular, our community of Spitalfields restaurants, below we have shared some tier-2 friendly spots with plenty of outdoor seating here in Shoreditch, so visitors can continue to socialise!
The Grocer: Traditional English Pub with a Modern Twist
With their massive selection of craft ales, wines, spirits and cocktails and a seating capacity of 130, including a large outdoor terrace, The Grocer is the perfect place to relax with friends.
As well as being the perfect watering hole, the menu is packed with home comforts. From the infamous lamb shank Sunday roast to the ‘proper‘ pies with creamy mash and lashings of gravy, the kitchen team are serving up the best winter warmers.

Follow your nose into into the heart of Spitalfields Market to try one of the new dishes from the all-day menu, or pick up a coffee and a croissant and relax out front- with outdoor seating for 60 it’s the perfect spot for people watching!
Embrace your competitive side at Players Social, where you can challenge friends to table tennis, shuffleboard and table football.
