Meet our Makers!

11/10/2022

With anywhere up to 110 stalls on its busiest days, Spitalfields Market boasts an eclectic offering from hand-made t-shirts to fine jewellery to ceramics to dog clothing, each one created by an incredibly talented business founder. Keep reading to get to know some of our much-loved market traders and their wares. Like what you see? Make Spitalfields your next day out destination – you can find us just 2 minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street station.

28 North

Named after the latitude coordinates on the map where founder and designer Miguel is from, 28 North is a one-man band, creating unique, made-to-measure belts in front of your very own eyes at his stall here inside the traders’ market. Crafted using carefully selected leather and traditional hand tools, these leather accessories are made with love and designed to last a lifetime.

Find 28 North at Spitalfields Market every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Electrickery

The brainchild of London based artisan and artist David Wright, Electrickery offers truly unique art, jewellery and home decor, created using unwanted circuit boards and other computer components. Ever seen someone transform a motherboard into a moth? An old disk into a dragonfly? Head down to David stall every weekend and one of his wonderfully one-of-a-kind creations could be flying home with you.

Ladiebirdy

Since launching in 2013, Ladiebirdy has grown from strength to strength, and the ever-growing product range has been featured in The Covent Gardener Magazine, has products available to purchase in The Royal Albert Hall gift shop, and founder Maria works regularly with children’s publishers such as Usborne, Peekaboo and Bookworm.

With a new creation always round the corner, there’s always a reason to visit Maria in the market and pick up something to brighten up your home.

Townhouse

Regarded as one of the UK’s most talked about nail salons, Townhouse recently made its East London debut, opening its 5th salon right here at on Market Street.

From the first-of-its-kind ‘nailfie’ booth, to the incredibly opulent interior décor and best nail techs in the beauty world delivering flawless services, founder Juanita paid meticulous attention to detail to ensure Townhouse takes the meaning of self-care to the next level. Want to find out first-hand what sets this salon apart from the rest? Book your appointment here.
