More to Enjoy at One of the Best Markets in London

30/08/2020

More to Enjoy at One of the Best Markets in London: Bishops Square developmentsWe are thrilled to announce the new developments at Bishops Square in Spitalfields!

Completing the plan from 2002, this renovation project means that one of the best markets in London will get even better. Spitalfields will offer a more unique experience to visitors reaching this eclectic corner of East London, building on the history of this spectacular angle of the city.

Market Street and Lamb Street: A better shopping experience

On Market Street and Lamb Street, shoppers will have the opportunity to further enjoy their passion with even more retail shops added to the area.

Those who are around for a stroll or seeking a unique view of a characteristic historical place in London, the market will expand its one-of-a-kind offer and distinct look, making it very attractive to tourists and locals alike.

With Market Street wearing a whole new dress, those walking inside its paths will feel like the vibrant new streetscape brings them a sense of the past. The original design, in fact, gets its inspiration from the traditional London bylanes. An awning will create a gorgeous route for visitors to walk along and discover the excitingly new store spaces, perfect for distinctive cafés and upbeat fashion boutiques.

And don’t forget to look up! The striking view of the Hawksmoor’s Christ Church will be exposed to visitors from the freshly cleared glass canopy. The improved accessibility of the storefronts will also make getting around easier for everyone.

The way to happy shopping: enlivening Lamb Street

With the warm tones of the York Stone pavement welcoming you to Lamb Street, enjoying a day out at Spitalfields Market will become a matter of great food and fun shopping.

At the new two-storey retail building that is soon to animate Lamb Street, you’ll get to spend your time immersed in a world of colours and tastes. An ultimate shopping experience on both floors, visitors will be able to browse all the retail shops have to offer.

Merging seamlessly in the surrounding residential area whilst bringing a bit of the industrial era back to life – a homage to the Spitalfields’ heritage – this fascinating building is set to become a sight on its own thanks to the newly installed, red-oxide coloured, metal structure. Embracing the building, the attractive construction will give a new sense of identity to Lamb Street and create a lively space to spend your time.

More to enjoy at the Spitalfields Market London experience

Local to London and a passionate cyclist? The nearby visitors’ cycle parking will safely store your bike whilst you enjoy your time at the market. Just head towards the streets leading to Bishops Square from Bishopsgate.

In search for a tranquil spot to chill? The lush Elder Gardens will also display new paving and increased green space allowing you to appreciate the sun in summer, and a place to have your lunch break all-year-round.

Last but not least, an incredible sedum and wildflower green roof will be created over the new Market Street extension as well as on the Lamb Street building’s roof, providing rare and lovely green spots in this East London borough.
