Not only does Spitalfields have plenty of sun-drenched spots to sunbathe and socialise in the summer sun, the plethora of restaurants, food trucks and bars reflect everything that is great about British summer. From BBQ to picnic food, refreshing cocktails and small sharing plates designed to be eaten alfresco, we’ve picked out favourite seasonal serves to tuck into before the summer is out. 

A match-a made in heaven

On the hunt for something to help you cool down in the heatwave? You’ve come to the right place! Jenki’s soft serve is thick, rich and outrageously creamy, made by the masters at Dappa, meaning it’s 100% plant-based and 1000% delicious. Why not load yours up with cacao fudge sauce and salted nut crumble? It’s a match-a made in heaven!

The kitchen team, led by Chris Galvin, speak to their suppliers every day to ensure only use the freshest food is used in each dish, with menus change frequently depending on availability of produce and seasonality. We recommend tucking into the Ibérica pork steak with heritage tomatoes, or the braised calves’ tongue with piccalilli – best enjoyed alfresco with a bottle of perfectly chilled rosé straight from the tap.
