The Rebirth Of The Figurative Form
The renaissance of figurative art has a new protagonist in Brighton born, London Based artist Steve Yeates. He explodes the concept of the traditional aesthetic by his innovative use of todays waist paper into socially aware yet sensitive explorations of the human soul.
If the re-genesis of tradition art is proving awkward, its maturation is surely blossoming with his incisive dialogue of issues relevant to today using the language of sculpture. It is therefore no wonder that an artist such as Steve Yeates is enjoying such critical appreciation.
