Spitalfields E1 is celebrating the start of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics by streaming the opening ceremony on a big screen for free on Friday 26 July.
From 6pm onwards, the 188-inch screen located on Bishops Square invites viewers to lounge on deck chairs and enjoy offers and promotions from nearby food vendors while officially kick starting the Olympics season.
The hospitality vendors at Spitalfields will offer promotions to their customers throughout the evening. Lamb Street foodie vendors Sud Italia (pizza), Wicked Fish (gluten-free fish & chips), Smokoloko (smoked brisket), Mamma’s Goodies (paninis) and Chi Chi (pasta) will cater for the hungry fans, while Italian restaurant Alfi will be offering 50% off first drinks.
Viewers will also be glad to know that Spitalfields will be cheering Team GB on by showing all the key moments on the big screen throughout the Olympics (26 July – 11 August) and the Paralympics (28 August – 8 September), so locals and visitors alike are able to see some of the best sporting performances in the world at this East London destination.
