Spitalfields E1 celebrated London’s fashion and creativity during London Fashion Week with promotions and activations across its shops and foodie spots from the 16th to the 18th of February. The weekend, named “Spitalfields’ Love Letter To Fashion”, celebrated Spitalfields Market’s vibrant history as the capital’s fashion hub. Known for its year-round traders market, home to independent retailers, and a stone’s throw away from the vintage boutiques on Brick Lane, Spitalfields was the place to be during London Fashion Week.
As part of the official London Fashion Week schedule, the creative studio and talent support programme for emerging designers On|Off hosted its anticipated showcase in Spitalfields. This year, On|Off supported trailblazing fashion designer Jack Irving, whose collection of wearable art pieces and hyper-reality looks had been seen on the likes of Lady Gaga and The Spice Girls. The full catwalk and designs from the new collection were presented on big screens in the heart of Spitalfields Market throughout February 16-18, acting as the perfect backdrop to bring Irving’s vision to life.
