Light the World Machine + Event Schedule

Dates: 29th November – 11th December 2024
Location: Brushfield Street, Spitalfields Market

This festive season, make a difference with the Light the World Machines, brought to you by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Light the World Machines are not your typical vending machine – they’re an inspiring way to spread kindness and make a real difference for those in need. By simply selecting a charitable item to donate, you can help support causes both locally and globally. Whether it’s providing clean water, livestock, meals for vulnerable children, hygiene products, or clothing, every choice you make contributes directly to improving lives around the world.

How it Works

The machines work just like a regular vending machines, but instead of purchasing snacks or drinks, you’re purchasing items that will be delivered to those in need. Once you select an item, 100% of your donation goes directly to participating non-profit organisations. All operational costs for the initiative are covered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ensuring your donation makes the maximum impact. Join us to experience the joy of giving and make this festive season one to remember!

Festive Events

Alongside the machines, we have an exciting schedule of events to bring the magic of Christmas to life. Join us for a series of free, family-friendly Christmas events at Spitalfields. From community choir performances and sing-alongs to a grand launch event with West End artists, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the chance to meet Father Christmas and his elves and enjoy the festive spirit in the heart of London.

Highlights include:

Primary Children’s Choir + Sing Along

Chase Bridge Community Choir

Grand Launch Event featuring West End performers
