From carol singers, to special late-night openings to nativity performances, and of course, what’s a Christmas without a visit from Santa Claus and his naughty elves? There is bound to be something to get you in the spirit, so come along and join Spitalfields spread festive cheer and good tidings at one of our upcoming events.

Hertfordshire Concert Band on Bishops Square

The Hertfordshire Concert Band, a collective of over 35 musicians will perform a festive mixture of carols and popular Christmas music for the lunchtime crowds on Bishops Square. The band will be collecting donations to fund music and equipment whilst entertaining the Sunday Market visitors.

Providence Row Choirs

Local school choirs will return for the 9th year running in a series of lunchtime performances raising money for local homelessness charity Providence Row.

Visitors will be treated to seasonal classics and carols abound as well as current chart hits.

Late Night Shopping at Spitalfields

Late night market with seasonal entertainment from Ministry of Fun including street performers and a DJ.

Thursday 5th December – until 9pm

Santa at Spitalfields

Santa and his two most trusted elves will come to Spitalfields to browse the market stalls to find a very special gift for Mrs Claus.

Visitors will have the opportunity to pose with Santa for a selfie and check whether they’re on his nice or naughty list!

Christ Church Nativity Play

Local school children from Christ Church Nativity perform their annual nativity play in promenade across the Spitalfields Estate and beyond with live animals from Spitalfields City farm.

Wednesday 11th December – lunchtime

Big Christmas Wind Orchestra and Choir

Over 250 musicians who come together annually for a great fun afternoon, performing festive music in Spitalfields Market in London! Everyone is welcome, whether a seasoned professional or an absolute beginner, with any wind orchestra instrument or just your voice. We perform a wide range of well-known Christmas songs, with sheet music provided for all performers. This year our festive extravaganza will be the biggest yet!
