Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Spitalfields

Kicking off a season of summer events, we’re hosting a royal 5-day extravaganza to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
From Wednesday 1^st June there’ll be live music from local East London talent, toe-tapping traditional tea dances, free ice-cream, huge giveaways from some of our incredible resident brands, and a big screen in Bishops Square showing a variety of Jubilee-themed entertainment as well as some seasonal sport.

Not only will our award-winning street food trucks and restaurants be open to fuel your day, but we will have local craft beer legends Kill The Cat popping up to satisfy your beer curiosity with a best of British selection at their outdoor bar and Brother Marcus serving up their take on indulgent ostrich eggs and soldiers. Make sure you make a reservation beforehand to make sure you can dine like royalty.

Showing the major sporting events over the summer,  visitors are invited to relax on deck chairs as they watch the drama unfold – starting with the England Vs New Zealand test series.

TEA DANCE

Date: Wednesday 1^st June
Time: 12:30 –2:30pm throughout the summer.
Location: Crispin Place
Kicking off on the 1^st June, this monthly gathering will transport you back to the wondrous days of yesteryear. Join in the fun with fancy footwork, accompanied by the music of the acclaimed New Covent Garden Orchestra, recreating the smooth sounds of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. All ages and dancers of all abilities are welcome!

Tango Fever return for their much-loved free outdoor milongas offering Londoners a rare opportunity to tango al fresco.

TIME CONCERTS

Time Concerts Choir presents the Chandler Children’s Choir (CCC), a premier youth community choir from Phoenix, Arizona. Now in their 14th season, the choir aged 7-18, performs a mixture of classical, folk, and art songs.
