How to Enjoy Summer at your Favourite East End Market

19/07/2021

From July 19th onwards, ‘Freedom Day’ as it has been unofficially named means businesses will now be allowed to open as usual, without restrictions. There will no longer be social distancing requirements, and it won’t be mandatory for masks to be worn in public places.

Enjoy the summer to the fullest by visiting your beloved East End market!

Our visitors, traders, and retailers’ safety and welfare is at the heart of everything we do here at Spitalfields, so we will be closely following government guidelines when it comes to covid-19 measures. This means masks will not be essential to be worn throughout the market, but individual retailers and restaurants may vary, so we ask visitors to please respect this during their visit.

Events are back!

Who else has missed events as much as us?

After months of closure over the last 12 months, we’re more excited than ever to put on a show and celebrate Spitalfields as the much-loved market it has and will always be. Last weekend we transformed the market into a vintage Summer Fete, with games, giveaways, free ice cream and matcha, live performances all day and all-day sporting action on the big screen.

Missed it? Not to worry! Head to our events page to find out what else we’ve planned this summer, or download our Spitalfields app to be in the know.

First in line? Swing Patrol is back again at Spitalfields this weekend to bring dance, music and fun to the community.
