With the sun-filled days of summer just around the corner, it’s time to add a spring into your step and join the Tea Dance at Spitalfields E1.
This monthly gathering will transport you back to the wondrous days of yesteryear; with the accompaniment of music by the acclaimed New Covent Garden Orchestra. Listen as the musicians recreate the smooth sounds of the ’30s, ’40s and ’50s and join in the fun with fancy footwork.
From the foxtrot to the quickstep, and the cha-cha, you are bound to want to join in on the action, and what’s more the event is totally FREE!
The Tea Dance runs from 12:30 – 2:30pm throughout the spring and summer months, just look out for it in the canvas covered Crispin Place off Brushfield Street, E1.
The Spitalfields Tea Dances are part of the Spitalfields Free Community Event Programme that includes classical, jazz and blues concerts, art exhibitions, cultural and charitable festivals and a variety of community-led activities that will run throughout the year. All ages and dancers of all abilities are welcome.
