The Big Christmas Wind Orchestra

All singers, wind and brass players are invited to come together in one big afternoon of Christmas tunes and carols. We want everyone to get involved, from total beginners through to experienced performers, and we guarantee London’s biggest performing experience this Christmas! In 2016 we had over 170 players, and this year promises to be the biggest yet! Sign-ups for 2017 will open very soon, visit for further information on how to get involved.

The Big Christmas Wind Orchestra was formed in 2012 to raise money for charity, and it was so successful that we carried on! Conducted by Matthew Hardy, musicians from London and around the UK come together in an annual performance, while collecting donations for charity. Last year we raised a massive £1301.55 for Hope for Children.

On the day:

We perform for three hours at the iconic Spitalfields Christmas Market under the white canopy in Bishop’s Square.

Any musician is welcome, regardless of ability, and no rehearsal is required- we will play Christmas carols and tunes that are accessible to everyone. Simply register, and turn up on the day with your instrument, some warm clothing and Christmas decorations!
