We know the East London food scene was missing our trucks and their tasty, freshly prepared, street food. Now is your time to rediscover – or newly discover – some of the most delicious gourmet dishes one of the best food markets in London can offer.
Rainbo are on a mission to spread the word… that word being dumplings! Inspired by Tokyo, born in London, these guys are serving up the best gyozas this side of the river, and the menu is continually evolving to keep you going back for more, too. Their bao buns are perfectly steamed into soft pillows of delicious-ness, and their Japanese fried chicken is a must-have. Team with sticky rice and a crispy, crunchy salad and you will be quite literally eating the Rainbo!
Whilst they prepare their halal meats to the traditional American ‘low and slow’ cooking method, their pickles, chutneys and sauces (all made in-house) take on a modern Indian influence. Choose from melt-in-the-mouth 14-hour smoked brisket drenched in coriander chimichurri and herb buttermilk, chipotle and lime glazed chicken with red pepper harissa and apricot chutney, or roasted aubergine with a glossy and gorgeous tamarind glaze. All served with your choice pickled garlic slaw and either a naan or lentil and pearl barley. Is your mouth watering yet?
Lovely by name, lovely by nature! These guys are serving up fresh and authentic Italian pasta using only the finest ingredients. Choose from 9 different types of pasta, add your choice of sauce, sprinkle on as much free parmesan as you like and voila!

Easily identified by the huge open fire grills inside their iconic vintage locomotive, Smokoloko are legends in the world of BBQ’ed street food. Choose from rump steak, brisket or chicken – quality meats all carefully selected and sourced – pile with caramelised onions and salad, roll up in a fluffy flatbread (baked fresh daily in Dalston) and drench in one of the many different flavours of BBQ sauce on offer. Ridiculously succulent!
Travelling abroad may be off the cards, but you can still get your fix of authentic Turkish lamb kofte here at Spitalfields Market! With a mission to keep food fuss-free and delicious, Ebby’s have been serving up original recipes since 2012. The ‘Baba Kofte’ recipe was created by Ebby’s father way back when, and still remains their most popular dish to date! Enjoy yours with extra halloumi, a massive dollop of homemade hummus, and a piece of decadent baklava to take away for later.
