The #LoveNotLandfillclothes recycling campaign is at Spitalfields until Monday 29th April in celebration of Fashion Revolution Week.
In the UK, 38 million items of new clothing are bought every week and 11 million go to landfill* – that needs to change and that change starts with you.
No longer need that green jumper? Suddenly have less wardrobe space? We are here to help! We’ve placed textile banks across London that you can take any unwanted clothes to. We’ll collect them, sort through them and ensure that their next stage in life is not a landfill!
This is a big event in the sustainable fashion calendar. Every year Fashion Revolution Week gains momentum with activities and events across London. Please check out this link for some stats – www.fashionrevolution.org/2017-impact
To highlight the issue of clothing consumption we’re going to ask vloggers and influencers to do the opposite (which we’re calling a #dehaul) where they remove unwanted clothes from their wardrobes and recycle them in a #LoveNotLandfill bank. These influencers are going to then do a “meet & greet” at the bank when they put their clothes in and encourage their followers to do the same. This will take place on Friday 26th April.
