After getting myself in to work early one morning, to steal one of the *old man’s latest creations, I was blown away by just how good a bacon butty could taste! Unfortunately, *Bruno Loubet was not impressed with his missing bacon butty, but after the red mist had settled, he was encouraged by my excitement to take the ultimate bacon butty to the streets of London and beyond! So after a year of working on the butty and searching the country for the finest local, fat piggies, Bruno gave his backing and together we launched Le Swine!
By taking the bacon butty to humble new heights, with our homemade milk and onion bap, bacon butter, old fashioned middle bacon, fried duck egg and the choice of either our Swine Tomato Sauce or Mushroom Ketchup, it’s in our view, the best bacon butty ever!
With word of Le Swine slowly getting out, we received a call inviting us to Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival, with only 3 months to go and the ambulance sitting with stretcher and medical drawers still firmly in place, we accepted the invitation and called upon my ever trusty dad to convert our sixties ambulance into the showpiece that it is today.
After a debut sell-out weekend at the Big Feastival, serving nearly 2000 very happy campers, Le Swine had begun its pig-pimpin story! This Summer we were invited to and traded at Wilderness, Green Man and back to where it all began, at The Big Feastival.
